Oregon Farm

Nestled in the fertile and temperate Williamette Valley, our Oregon farm is managed for the production of specialty fruits and nuts.  We have recently planted a tract of walnut and butternut trees as well as what we call a "heritage arboretum."  Some people collect t-shirts from places they have visited.  I collect trees.  The heritage arboretum includes trees from many trips as well as specimens from family homesites across the country.  Click on a season for photos.

Autumn Harvest

Throughout the past decade or so, I've collected seeds and nuts from trees important to me.  Some are souvenirs from trips.  But most represent important family and personal memories.  I have a butternut from the tree that stood outside the back door of my grandparents farmhome in Michigan.  The sassafras reminds me of hikes through the Schawangunk Mountains of New York.  Many species are from my childhood home including oaks, maples, and elms.   Go to arboretum page...
